Zebedees Bath

Our Preschool (3-5 years)

In our Preschool we realise that many children of three years, who have already experienced good quality nursery care, are already developing skills that will lead them on towards the more structured day our Preschool room offers.

Our Early Years teacher works in partnership with the Local Education Authority to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which uses creativity as its starting point.

Our Early Years team work to facilitate children’s interests and ideas to build their confidence and to foster learning for life.

As well as written progress reports and a photographic record Zebedees holds informal parents evenings to keep mums and dads up to date with their child’s development.

Ladybird Room (2-3 years)

Toddlers, with their growing skills in mobility and language development, need a wider range of activities which will satisfy their growing need for independence, whilst careful supervision is needed to ensure that exploration is carried out under controlled conditions.

In our Ladybird Room children participate in lots of fun activities which include singing, dancing, creative, imaginative and manipulative play. At this stage they are also given a gentle introduction to letters, numbers, colours and shapes.

Bumblebee Room (6 months - 2 years)

In our Bumblebee Room your baby will have an individual care plan that follows his or her routine at home as closely as possible. Your baby will also be looked after by the same carers each day.

We have a wide range of stimulating toys and we encourage all the children as far as they are able to take part in activities such as painting, construction, collage, sand and water play. There is also an adjoining sleep room.

Our garden and outside play

We feel that the outside environment is an extension of our classroom and therefore plays a fundamental role in educating your child.  We provide an inviting, well-planned and organized space, which is well maintained and secure with appropriate equipment for all ages.  The children are encouraged to explore and play independently and with an adult through activities such as digging, mini beast hunts, parachute games, team games, obstacle courses and ball games.  We are great believers in the importance of fresh air and exercise and embrace our varied climate!
